Help AISES create STEM opportunities and pathways within tribal communities that will nurture, empower, and sustain the next seven generations.
Tribes are the hubs of our communities. We engage directly with tribal communities to deliver impactful programming from early education to professional career development. By forging strong partnerships, we ensure access to valuable resources, amplify tribal STEM successes, and address the unique needs of tribal nations.
Join us in building a future where every tribal member thrives.

We are seeking passionate and committed individuals to help shape the future of our communities by serving on TNAC. TNAC provides an opportunity for tribal decision makers to support AISES by giving crucial feedback and sharing ideas related to STEM workforce development and education needs.

AISES Tribal Chapters are grounded in self-determination and community vision. They are shaped by the people they serve and are tailored to meet the unique goals of each tribe. Whether you're mentoring students, developing tribal STEM programs, or building a professional network, an AISES Tribal Chapter helps you build a future rooted in culture and innovation.
Scheduling a meeting with our Chapter Engagement team at chapters@aises.org.
Support documentation from tribal officials will be required.

AISES invites tribal communities to collaborate on programs that build local capacity, empower Indigenous talent, and create long-term impact in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). Contact programs@aises.org to partner with AISES on existing grant opportunities or to discuss adding AISES programming to tribal grant proposals.

AISES developed and facilitated
Tribes can increase their STEM capacity by partnering with AISES on the After-School STEM College and Career Readiness (CCR) Program in the following ways:
To develop early childhood STEM programming, AISES curriculum development experts ensure programs are culturally relevant, developmentally appropriate, and effective in fostering long-term interest in STEM among Indigenous children. We can tailor curriculum to your needs, whether it is an early childhood or Headstart program.
Tribes can benefit in numerous impactful ways by partnering with AISES on teacher professional development.
By training STEM educators in Indigenous Knowledge and pedagogy, tribes ensure that teaching methods align with their cultural values, histories, and worldviews, making STEM more relevant and meaningful for Indigenous students.
The program equips educators—both Indigenous and non-Indigenous—with tools to succeed and feel supported in Indigenous-serving schools, directly addressing high turnover rates that often disrupt student learning in tribal communities.
With teachers trained to use inquiry-based, place-based, and culturally grounded pedagogy, students are more likely to feel connected to STEM subjects, increasing their confidence, academic performance, and long-term interest in STEM careers.
Tribes take an active role in shaping educational content and delivery by integrating Indigenous Knowledge systems into mainstream STEM education, promoting self-determination in how education is developed and delivered to their youth.
