Hope contributes her organizational and interpersonal relational skills to the Special Events team. Her roles at AISES have included Student Success Manager, Development Manager and Business Development Officer. Now, Hope is excited to be a part of the Special Events team as an officer. Her duties include, working in collaboration with all departments to successfully execute the AISES annual events and project management for each event such as sourcing vendors, entertainment, merchandise, catering, décor elements, planning and documenting tasks, and monitoring & ensuring deliverables’ deadlines are met.

Hope completed her undergraduate career at the University of Colorado Boulder in Ethnic Studies and Elementary Education. After graduation she taught in Longmont in the St. Vrain Valley School District – the seventh largest school district in the state. She advocates for more representation of Black, Indigenous, and people of color in all spaces; to share and affirm their diverse histories, knowledge, and legacies. 

As a Chicana (Mexican/American/Indigenous), Hope’s diverse identities are the core of her passions and motivation. She was born and raised in Greeley, Colorado. Her family has been in southern Colorado, and northern New Mexico since before statehood. She comes from a family of bold and independent women, starting with her mom, who is her rock. Her two sisters are her best friends and biggest supporters. In her free time, she enjoys gathering with friends and family, going to community events, and playing with her puppy, Zorro.
