Marie Casao

Marie is a member of the Narragansett Tribe of Rhode Island. Born and raised in California, she holds a cleared California multiple subject teaching credential, as well as a Masters in Education in Curriculum & Instruction. Marie first joined AISES during her undergrad while attending Cal Poly SLO. She became involved with AISES again as a teacher while working at a Tribal school, which eventually led her to join AISES as an official staff member in 2021. 

Within AISES, you’ll find Marie corresponding and working with teachers, partners, and various partner schools. Her main projects focus on bringing Computer Science and Engineering Design into High Schools. Her background in the field of education has greatly contributed to how she runs specific programs. 

In her off hours, you’ll find Marie at home with her spouse and cats. She enjoys board games, beading, boba tea, and traveling to new and familiar places.
