Debbie Derryberry is the Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer at the American Indian Science and Engineering Society. She has been in this role since Feburary 2016. She brings over 20 years of administrative experience to AISES with proficiency in scheduling, correspondence, and customer relations. Debbie provides a broad range of administrative duties to the Colorado office. She also works to keep open channel of communication within and between departments and with employees in the AISES New Mexico office.

Having held various positions in the nonprofit and business fields, Debbie is able to tailor her skills to the needs of various clients. She has experience in direct marketing fundraising, foundation and corporate relationship building, and strategic communications.

Debbie is the principal link between the board and the CEO/management team. She provides overall leadership to the board in the development of board agenda, workplan development, information flow, board elections, meeting schedules, business operations, and liaison with committee chairs. She is responsible for complete access for the board to everyone and everything in AISES. She finds it rewarding working with the AISES board because they are an inspiring group of dedicated professionals.  

Prior to joining AISES, Debbie worked for the First Nations Development Institute in development and individual giving and with the American Indian College Fund. During her time at the College Fund, she worked extensively with the donor/fundraising database. Debbie also worked in the individual giving department providing administrative support to the director of individual giving and managing the monthly donor program. She lives in Arvada, Colorado with her husband Mark.
