McGill students choose from 300 programs of study. Over the course of nearly two centuries, students in the faculties of science, engineering, and agricultural and environmental sciences have been making discoveries that impact the world. McGill is also home to one of the top medical schools in North America, with a reputation for excellent clinical training at four af liated teaching hospitals.
But it’s not all study at McGill. There’s a popular recreation program that includes a tness center and offers sports

McGill is not the only university in Montreal, which hosts more students per capita than any other North American city. Exploring this lively, multicultural city, where it’s common to hear Mon- trealers using French and English — and a host of other languages — interchange- ably, is a fascinating way to take a break off campus.
In 2017 McGill committed to tripling the number of Indigenous students within ve years, as well as ensuring their success, and earmarked $1 million to implementing that goal and other recommendations of the school’s Task Force on Indigenous Studies and Indigenous Education. The ultimate goal is to ensure that “Indigeneity” is an embedded part of campus culture. ■
