AISES PK12 Affiliation/Club

Chinle High School at the 2023 AISES National Conference

Give Indigenous PK12 students a critical start in STEM by starting an AISES Affiliation

Connect Indigenous PK12 Students with STEM

Whether you are interested in starting an AISES club or your school  is implementing an AISES program, AISES PK-12 affiliation is a powerful way to introduce students to the world of STEM and the importance of community. PK-12 affiliation is open to all primary and secondary schools serving Native American, Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander, First Nations, Metis, and Inuit students.

AISES Affiliation/Club Requirements

  • PK12 primary or secondary school serving Native American, Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander, First Nations, Metis, and Inuit students
  • Support by school’s leadership
  • At least 2 school representatives who will support/implement activities
  • Total Number of Indigenous Students/Total Number of Students

Applications are accepted year-round and must be filled out by a school representative

Early exposure to STEM can increase interest and confidence to enter STEM studies and careers, yet Native students often struggle to identify with STEM

AISES clubs provide a critical entry point early in Indigenous students’ academic journey where students can begin to explore connections between STEM, community, culture, and confidence.
