Raelene Whiteshield (Cheyenne-Arapaho/Kiowa)

Executive Assistant

Raelene is an enrolled member of the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes of Oklahoma and Kiowa and brings over 21 years of experience in the finance industry with the majority of those years working in commercial and corporate lending.  Nonprofit is a new endeavor for her however, she is looking forward to the personal satisfaction of doing something good for the world we live in and enriching Indigenous communities.

Raelene joins AISES as the Executive Assistant to the Vice President and Colorado Office Manager. This position will primarily support the Senior Vice President (SVP) with administrative functions and support the President with AISES Board of Directors and Board Committees minutes and maintaining the Board of Directors, Committee, and Councils terms, rosters, and contact lists. Raelene provides general administrative support to the AISES leadership team and will be working on a variety of projects in addition to daily duties and responsibilities.

Raelene was raised in a suburb of Denver, Colorado where she still resides with her children and caregiver to her grandmother. Raelene is an avid seamstress, Indigenous designer, artist, jingle dress dancer, mother, and the largest fan to her children. Raelene also sits on numerous advisory boards/councils and has worked or volunteered on numerous for committees and/or organizations.
