Jaeden Wesley is a proud member of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians, from the Standing Pine Tribal Community on her reservation. She is the second youngest of five sisters, an aunt to her niece and nephew, and the daughter of Jay and Danielle Wesley. Jaeden was raised in the Choctaw Tribal School System through the 10th grade before completing her high school education at the Mississippi School for Mathematics and Science, where she first discovered her passion for data science and economics.

Currently, Jaeden is a third-year student at the University of California, Los Angeles, where she is working toward a B.S. in Statistics and Data Science and a B.A. in Economics. Her goal is to become a data analyst, using her skills to make a meaningful impact in any way possible. In addition to her academic pursuits, Jaeden is actively involved in several initiatives aimed at supporting Indigenous students. As President of UCLA’s AISES chapter, she works to increase Indigenous representation in STEM fields. She also serves as the Retention Coordinator for

UCLA’s Native American Organization and as a Site Coordinator for the American Indian Recruitment Program. Through her leadership roles, Jaeden is committed to improving resources and support for Native students on campus and creating pathways to success both in higher education and in their future careers.
