Cheyenne Skye Branscum (Citizen Potawatomi Nation)

PK-12 Program Officer

Cheyenne Skye Branscum is a Citizen Potawatomi Nation member and nonprofit expert specializing in STEM, program design, financial management, fundraising, and inclusion. She made history as the first tribal citizen elected to the Sierra Club Board of Directors and currently serves as the organization’s Treasurer, helping to guide financial strategies that advance their mission.

At AISES, Cheyenne collaborates across several flagship PK–12 initiatives including the National American Indian Science & Engineering Fair (NAISEF) and is the architect of FIIRE, AISES Clubs, and AUNTIE Tech Clubs, overseeing their design, refinement, implementation, and long-term sustainability. Under her leadership, FIIRE will expand into Canada in 2026, extending AISES impact across Indigenous communities throughout North America.

Cheyenne holds a degree in International Security Studies, grounding her belief that education, when culturally centered and community-driven, is a powerful force for justice, sovereignty, and opportunity. Her expertise in program development and financial management ensures that the initiatives she stewards are impactful, scalable, and responsibly positioned for future growth.

Raised on Galveston, Texas, surrounded by ocean currents, Cheyenne brings to her work a lifelong commitment to water, environmental stewardship, and Indigenous empowerment. She is currently writing a forthcoming book highlighting the stories and leadership of women Water Protectors across Turtle Island, continuing her dedication to uplifting Indigenous voices and community-driven solutions.
