The National Native Scholarship Providers ((NNSPs) – College Fund, Cobell Scholarship Program, American Indian Science and Engineering Society, and American Indian Graduate Center*) collaborated to conduct this research project.

“I can do data for my people”: experiences of giving back for Native undergraduates in computing

This study shows Native women and two-spirit CS undergrads persist by integrating culturally connected giving back, using computing to uplift communities, mentor others, and preserve culture.

Culture and Quality Matter in Building Effective Mentorship Relationships with Native STEM Scholars

Native scholars benefit most from mentorship that honors their culture. Culturally-informed mentorship supports persistence in STEM, countering underrepresentation and the legacy of colonization.
