Renita DiStefano is the Founder, President, and CEO of Second Derivative, LLC, a Native- and woman-owned advisory firm specializing in Information Technology and Cybersecurity services. An enrolled member of the Seneca Nation and proud matriarch of the Hawk Clan, Renita has forged a remarkable career at the intersection of technology, security, and Indigenous advocacy.
Renita is widely recognized as the first Native American woman to hold executive-level positions as both Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).
Renita is frequently called upon to advise tribal nations on digital sovereignty, cybersecurity governance, and operational resilience. Renita holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and is certified in numerous high-level security frameworks, including CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, CGEIT, CSOX, CMMC, and CJIS.
