Finding a community of like-minded peers can be hard, especially for those that are underrepresented in their fields. AISES Chapters are a powerful way to build community with others who share your interests, with a growing network of chapters available for students and professionals across the United States and Canada. The continual engagement and local-level contributions of chapters serve as the grassroots cornerstone of the AISES mission: providing connection, camaraderie, and support, as well as fun and, often, food! AISES Chapters involve professionals, colleges, high schools, and tribal communities.
No AISES Chapter is exactly the same: some offer cultural activities, K-12 schools outreach, and professional networking. Some chapters raise funds for student scholarships or to help pay for travel to the AISES National Conference. Leadership development is a consistent theme, and making the most of an AISES Chapter experience requires participatory leadership from everyone. These circles are about belonging, sharing, and growing together.
