The first-of-its-kind ESIL certificate program provides academic training in STEM, cross-cultural communication seminars, and hands-on internships to prepare scientifically-trained, culturally-aware individuals to liaison on environ- mental issues on or near Indigenous lands.
The ESIL certificate is available to anyone with demonstrated interest in STEM, the environment, and Indigenous communities, including full- or part-time students and non-degree students at the University of Colorado Denver. The first cohort of ESIL students will start on Monday 8/20/2018.
In addition, ESIL scholarships are available up to $10,000/year for full-time ESIL undergraduates in Biology, Civil Engineering, or Environmental Sciences.
