Does your school serve Indigenous 9th-12th grade students? Are you interested in starting a funded course integrating computer science, engineering design, STEM college & career readiness, and more? Have you ever wanted to bring a group of students to one of our conferences? If any of this sounds appealing, keep on reading to learn more about our Indigenous Coders, formerly "Native Coders" program.

AISES has partnered with Comcast NBCUniversal - through Project UP, the company's comprehensive initiative to advance digital equity and help build a future of unlimited possibilities - to expand computer science education and career readiness in schools serving Indigenous students!

The Indigenous Coders program includes the following:

A yearlong course for the 2023-2024 school year
Summer 2023 teacher PD’s to go over course materials and curriculum
Supplies and tech needed for curriculum are all provided
…and so much more!

What we are looking for:

Willing teacher(s) and supportive administrators
Schools who can implement this as a stand-alone, yearlong course
Access to a computer lab, with room for all provided technology
Ability to video conference
Indigenous students ready and willing to be a part of this course
