Post Date: January 23 2018

There’s still time for students to submit Energy Challenge project plans for Phase 1 of the competition (due January 31)! Only project plans (not complete projects) are needed for the Phase 1 deadline. Students can win up to $2,000 to build their Energy Challenge projects, receive full travel funding to attend the AISES Leadership Summit (March 15-17 in California), and more!

Now open to students grades 7-12. Both students and teachers can use the attached Energy Challenge Toolkit for help developing projects, and for more information visit: http://fairs.aises.org/ec

The AISES Energy Challenge (EC) is an energy-specific science fair designed to engage and encourage high school and middle school students to participate in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education through a creative, hands-on, problem solving and engineering process in an environment similar to a science fair. High school and now middle school students may compete as individuals, or as teams consisting of up to 4 students. All students/teams must have an adult sponsor. The sponsor can be either a parent, teacher, or mentor.
