2013 AISES National Conference and Career Fair
Research Presentations – Call for Abstracts
Pre-college (high school juniors and seniors), undergraduate and graduate students are invited to showcase their scientific research at oral and poster presentation sessions during the 2013 AISES National Conference and Career Fair in Denver, CO, October 31-November 2, 2013. These judged sessions enable participants to receive feedback on the quality of their research, as well as to obtain citable credit for their presentation.
General abstract submission criteria for each group; pre-college, undergraduate, graduate is listed below. Additional criteria and information for each group will be listed separately.
2013 Oral Research Schedules and Poster Board Assignments
Oral Presentations will take place on Thursday, October 31, between the hours of 1:00pm – 5:00pm.
Poster Presenters are expected to mount their posters on Thursday, October 31 between the hours of 11:30am – 4:00pm in the career fair floor – Exhibit Hall A.
Current AISES member.
Currently registered in an undergraduate or graduate program, or a high school student (junior or senior).
Have conducted research in science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM).
Abstract Submission Guidelines
The Online Abstract Submission Form will be available from August 5 –September 27, 2013. All abstracts must be submitted no later than Friday, September 27, 2013.
Must be new research. If a continuation of ongoing research, the updated research findings should be presented.
Abstracts must contain the following: Acknowledgements (optional) Abstracts must be no longer than 250 words.
All approved abstracts will be published in the 2013 AISES Abstract Book. Participation in this event implies permission to use your photograph and name for promotional purposes.
Abstract Acceptance Notifications
Notifications will be emailed by October 4, 2013.
Student presenters will receive complimentary conference registration information.
