As of September, 2011, AISES membership is for one year starting on the day a membership is purchased or renewed. The July 31 cycle is no longer in operation.

    Member Classification:

    There are two types of AISES membership: General and Associate.
    General Members are the voting members of AISES. To qualify as a General Member, an individual must satisfy two of the following requirements:

    • Hold a bachelor’s or advanced degree in a STEM field –or–

    • Hold an associate’s degree in STEM with STEM work experience –or–

    • Hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering technology with STEM work experience AND

    • Identify as an American Indian or Alaska Native

    Associate Membership  is open to any interested individual who does not qualify for General Membership. Associate Members enjoy all the benefits of membership outside of vote participation.


    Membership Levels:

    • Pre-College Student membership is $5 for high school students.

    • College Student membership is one of the largest membership groups in AISES. This membership category costs $25.

    • Professional membership is for entry-level, mid-career, and executive-level professionals who recognize the value of AISES membership and engagement. Membership costs $65.

    • Educator membership allows college and adult educators to enjoy AISES membership at a reduced fee of $40.

    Sequoyah Fellows are lifetime members of AISES. The one-time membership fee of $1000 presents a great way to express your commitment to AISES or to honor family members, colleagues, or friends.
