AISES administers the following scholarships for the 2010-11 academic year. All required forms may be downloaded in pdf format from this page.

The travel scholarships will help cover the expenses to attend the AISES National Conference in Albuquerque, New Mexico; November 11-13, 2010. All required documents must be received by stated deadline.
AISES Google Travel Scholarship

Deadline: September 24, 2010
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA - Applicants MUST meet all of the following criteria:
- Must have a 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale) or higher cumulative grade point average (GPA).
- Must be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited four year college/university, or a full- time student at a two year college enrolled in a program leading to an academic degree.
- Majoring in one of the following college disciplines at a accredited 4-year college or university:
- Computer Science
- Computer Engineering
*Other majors will be considered if it is evident that the applicant demonstrates a strong academic course of study that includes a high volume of computer science related courses and/or computer science related research.
- Must be a member of an American Indian tribe, Alaska Native or Native Hawaiian or otherwise considered tobe an American Indian by the tribe with which affiliation is claimed; or is at least 1/4 American Indian blood; or is at least 1/4 Alaskan Native; or considered to be an Alaskan Native by an Alaskan Native group to which affiliation is claimed.

AISES Google Scholarship
Application Deadline: June 15, 2010
The AISES Google Scholarship will fund scholarships awards to American Indian, Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian AISES members pursuing degrees in computer science and computer engineering. AISES and Google support the advancement of American Indian and Alaska Native students working towards obtaining a degree in the fields computer science and technology so they can obtain the necessary skills to compete in today’s global society.
AISES Intel Scholarship
Application Deadline: June 15, 2010
The AISES Intel Scholarship will fund scholarship awards to American Indian/Alaska Native AISES members pursuing degrees in the science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) fields. This scholarship was developed by AISES and Intel to support the advancement of American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) students with technical and leadership accomplishments, as well as a commitment to and passion for the computer science field.
Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) Foundation Scholarship
Application Deadline: April 15, 2010
Administered for the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Foundation, this scholarship is made available to American Indian high school seniors every year, who reside in states serviced by the Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Pacific Corporation and its affiliated companies: Arizona, California, Colorado, Kansas, Minnesota, Montana, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, and Washington. The award is for 4 academic years (8 semesters) or until baccalaureate degree is obtained, whichever occurs first. Applicants who are not selected as recipients will be given consideration in the A.T. Anderson Memorial Scholarship program, if all criteria is met. Eligible majors include business, engineering, math, medicine/health administration, natural/physical sciences, technology and education.
A.T. Anderson Memorial Scholarship
Application Deadline: June 15, 2010
AISES' own scholarship program was established in 1983 in memory of A.T. Anderson (Mohawk), a chemical engineer who founded AISES with six other American Indian scientists. Scholarships are awarded to members of AISES who are American Indian/Alaskan Native college students pursuing academic degrees in the sciences, engineering, medicine, natural resources, and math.
ELIGIBLE MAJORS
AISES reserves the right to exercise discretion in determining whether students with majors that are not clearly within the 'hard science' or engineering fields are eligible for scholarships. In these circumstances, AISES will thoroughly examine each application, and make an informed decision based on the information that is available, including but not limited to: 1) what school within the college/university the student is attending; 2) the student's current or expected course curriculum; and 3) AISES' current year funding levels, in order to make a determination.
