Aaron Yazzie
AISES Professional Member

Ya'at'eeh! My name is Aaron Yazzie, I am of the Salt Clan and born for the Bitterwater Clan. My maternal grandfather's clan is Towering House and paternal grandfather's clan is Near Water. I am originally from Holbrook, Arizona, and now currently reside in Pasadena, California. I graduated from Stanford University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, and am now working as a Mechanical Engineer at NASA's Jet Propulsion Lab in the Opto-Mechanical Engineering Division. I've been involved in AISES since high school, starting as a member, then becoming the president of my chapter. When I graduated high school I was fortunate to receive the AISES BNSF Scholarship, then continued on to become a member of my college chapter. During undergrad, I received 2 AISES internships, one at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, and another at the NASA Glenn Research Center. I served as my college chapter's president for 2 years, one year of which we received runner-up national chapter of the year, and the other receiving the high honor of National Chapter of the Year. As a senior, I was also elected to serve as the AISES Student Regional Representative for Region 2. And now, finally I am a professional member of AISES, and fully intend to continue being involved in everything AISES!
