Marc Anderson, Seminole, is a descendant of Chief Billy Bowlegs. He received a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Michigan in 1980 and is a licensed professional engineer in California, Michigan and Pennsylvania. His 29 years experience in environmental engineering include working exclusively for Tribal governments since starting his consulting business in 1997. Accomplishments include the development of environmental protection programs and Geographic Information Systems for approximately 24 Tribal governments and water quality, supply, infrastructure, and resource management projects on Tribal lands in California and Oklahoma.
Technology transfer and mentoring are very important to him, and witnessing the development of Tribal capacity to preserve, protect and utilize water resources is one of the most satisfying elements of his professional work.
