Rob Humble
AISES Graduate Student
Rob Humble is in his first year with the Harvard Business School (HBS) MBA program. Prior to enrolling at HBS, Rob was a member of an Operations Leadership Development Program at Raytheon, a world leader in defense and aerospace. His third and final rotation was with Raytheon's Integrated Defense Systems (IDS) where he worked in Operations Finance as a Proposals Analyst. In this role Rob prepared written proposals, assisted in government auditing and supported negotiations that resulted in $500M in new business for IDS. In his second rotation, Rob was a manufacturing Cell Leader on IDS' Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) radar. Under Rob's leadership, the team of 15 maintained its high quality standards and delivered all units on time and under budget. Rob started his first rotation and career at Raytheon Aircraft Company where, as a Team Leader, he managed a 40+ member production line. He was responsible for the cost, quality and schedule of two carbon-fiber composites fabrication departments, supporting the Hawker Horizon and Beech Premier final assembly lines. Prior to joining Raytheon, Rob attended Washington University in St. Louis, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical Engineering. During school, he held leadership roles in a number of different music groups, including The Pikers (all-male a cappella), the WashU Chamber Choir and Ladue Chapel Presbyterian Church Choir. In his summers, Rob completed two internships with General Motors as a test engineer. |
