AISES Chapter Co-Advisor
My name is Misty R. Mousseaux-Begay I have been in AISES since the Fall of 1995. Over the years I have been able to meet the mission of AISES. There is very little I would change in the time I have been with AISES, as a science fair participant, college student, AISES Chapter Officer, Regional and National Officer, and then Co-Advisor. Now as a professional member it is great to be able to help others become members and also just get involved and strive for that mission of AISES. Things have always been amazing! ! My own goals have always surrounded math and science. My education is in Pre-Engineering and I also have a teaching degree for 7-12 math and science. Currently I am working on my grad degree and will eventually step into the realms of being a principal. Right now I work for the SD GEAR UP Program which is a high school transition program with a 100% high school graduation rate. Things always do happen for a reason and I have found my family with AISES always as a rock to lean on as well a grow with into the many new opportunities that are yet to be laid out. Above all I am a mother to our only daughter Kanyen whom makes me the stage mom, soccer mom and swim mom...she's four! and of course I love the joys of marriage to my hasani (other half) Aaron whom supports and stands with me though our chapters yet to be created... |
