I am P.O.D.I.A. of three different tribes but mostly Cherokee, my ancestor's name was Otanaha which means something like "They-are-Big-Over-There". I speak a little Cherokee and welcome opportunities to talk to native speakers. I taught Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science for 16 years in High Schools in Kansas, Missouri, and Virginia, but for the last 13 years I have been a member of the Computer Science faculty at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. I am hoping to help form an AISES chapter here at ODU. |
