Teenie Matlock
AISES Professional
I'm Founding Faculty and a Cognitive Science Professor at UC Merced, the 10th University of California campus, and affiliate faculty at UC Berkeley. I completed my PhD at UC Santa Cruz and did postdoctoral research at Stanford University. I've published 50 articles on language, cognition, and technology, and received awards for teaching excellence. I grew up in Mariposa, California. In my free time, I work with tribal council members from Southern Sierra Miwok Nation on issues such as land management, federal recognition, and mentoring youth. |
